♚ AGE: approx. 25 years old. ♚ APPEARANCE: Marcos has short black hair, dark eyes, and olive-toned skin. He generally wears a stubbled beardHe's small, slight, and covered with lean muscle that's well hidden when he's fully dressed. He's 6' tall and quite thin. ♚ FASHION: He's somewhat shabby. Marcos is used to living in hiding, and his clothes reflect that. He tends to wear hardwearing jackets (denim, suede or leather), flannel shirts, jeans and boots. While working for the Cartel, he tended to wear black suits. He now only dresses more formally if it's required for a mission. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Marcos has an air of restlessness about him. He always seems ready to move, and his face is expressive. It's easy to tell when he's troubled, angry or upset. When something is bothering him, Marcos will find it hard to keep still and will want to be moving and acting. He speeds when he drives, too. ♚ LANGUAGES: Bilingual - he can speak his native Spanish as well as fluent English. ♚ OLFACTORY: Marcos would carry a faint scent of charring, like a candle that's just been blown out. It will be stronger after he's just used his powers. ♚ TOUCHING: Go ahead - he's unlikely to react badly unless he dislikes you. He's very tactile with his friends, especially his girlfriend Lorna. ♚ VIOLENCE: Marcos is willing and able to fight in his own, or his friends' defence. He will fight to incapacitate rather than kill where possible. He has a history of using violence to torture and even kill, and now deeply regrets that part of his life. He will avoid it where possible. His mutant power allows him to generate lasers from his hands through which he can blast objects away, burn and cut them apart, and create blinding light. He is likely to use these powers when situations go south, so please be aware of this if your character wants to hurt him! ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Marcos is in love with his girlfriend, Lorna Dane, who is currently pregnant with his child. They are going through a rough patch, but Marcos remains very much devoted to her. He tends to be suspicious of strangers, but is very loyal once he considers someone a friend. ♚ TELEPATHY: Please discuss with me first so we can plot out what your character will see. ♚ POWERS: Marcos can absorb and manipulate light. He's able to focus it into lasers through his hands, and can emit both light and heat at will. His blood is hot and glowing, like molten metal, and would burn on contact. He can emit concussive blasts, light bright enough to blind, and lasers hot enough to slice through metal. ♚ TRIGGERS: Marcos is hot-headed and tends to be reckless. His temper will be triggered by any threat of harm to his loved ones - particularly his girlfriend Lorna, and their unborn baby. He's also protective over his other friends from the Mutant Underground. He'll react badly to racism in general, but especially when directed towards mutants or anyone else with special powers. He's very strongly opposed to killing where there's another option, and violence for anything other than defence.

Though if we've been backtagging the same thread for months, I may eventually have to ask you to wrap it up in order to keep CR consistent. ♚ THREADJACKING: Please do, so long as anyone else involved is cool with it. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: Marcos won't be surprised if your character has heard about mutants, the X-Men, the Brotherhood, or any other general part of his canon. He is likely to react badly to strangers who know personal details about him. That said, you can have your character do it if you like - just be aware he probably won't be pleased about it. ♚ TRIGGERS: Please warn me first if you're going to talk about either excessive gore/body horror/torture, or animal cruelty. Other than that, I'm cool with most things.
